District 3-4A Forecast

Predictions

1. Randall: Defending district champions reign supreme until somebody knocks them off.
2. Palo Duro: Ton of size in the trenches combined with speed in the backfield and secondary should have the Dons in the thick of it.
3. Canyon: An abundance of returning players and talent should put the Eagles back in the playoffs.
4. Dumas: Solid defense and an offense that can sneak up on opponents and score in bunches should have the Demons in the postseason.
5. Pampa: Harvesters will be battling for the final playoff berth.
6. Caprock: Loss of several key players could set the Longhorns back this season.

Superlatives

Best Back: Alex Clendening, Pampa. Arm strength, decision-making and composure will have opposing coaches game planning around this QB.
Best Lineman: Kolby Dunn, Palo Duro. At 6-foot-3 and 310 pounds, Dunn is a dominating force in the trenches.
Best Defender: Edward Holguin, Dumas. Tenacious linebacker has the speed to chase down backs and the strength to put them on their tails.
Best Game: Randall vs. Canyon, Oct. 30. Teams will throw down in one of the best rivalry games in the area.
