Mike Crump carried 85 times for 621 yards and 10 touchdowns while Wesley Williams had 527 yards on 66 attempts with seven TDs. Nazareth, which lost four of its first five before winning five in a row, is led by QB Sage Black who rushed for 689 yards while throwing for 1,200. Cutter Johnson and Ryan Birkenfeld are the main running backs and have provided a big lift through the district schedule.
Nazareth Coach Coby Emery: ''The thing that stands out about Clarendon is its overall team speed. They started fast this season, and I know injuries have plagued them some lately. Still, they are an outstanding team. We scrimmaged them back in August, so I think this game is a good way for us to judge just how far we've come this season.''
Clarendon Coach Gary Jack: ''Nazareth is big up front and has been playing well lately. They started slow, but haven't lost since district play began. Really, I think they are playing like a typical Nazareth team. They will battle you from start to finish, and just don't like to lose. Our injuries have slowed us some, but I know we'll go out and play as hard as we can.''
Up Next: The winner will meet defending 1A Division II state champion Stratford in the area round.
Harris Line: Clarendon by 3.
