Late field goal lifts Caprock to victory

The Caprock Longhorns scored nine points in the fourth quarter, topped off with a field goal with 16 seconds left in the game, to defeat the Dalhart Golden Wolves, 23-20.

Running back Jamar Johnson had a big day, carrying the ball 21 times for 85 yards and three touchdown to lead Caprock (2-1) to its second straight road victory.

Golden Wolves quarterback Thomas Allen kept Dalhart (2-2) in the game by completing 5-of-10 passes for 62 yards and two touchdowns.
