Caprock downs SA Lake View

Caprock running back Jamar Johnson ran for 255 yards and scored four touchdowns, leading the Longhorns to a 38-21 rout of San Angelo Lake View in nondistrict action Friday night.

The win improved Caprock to 1-1 and erased the bad taste from last week's tough one-point loss to Borger.

Johnson scored on runs of 57, 30, 14 and three yards, and threw a touchdown pass as Caprock rolled up 515 yards.. Caprock quarterback Gerardo Ruiz complemented Johnson by throwing for 128 yards and a touchdown.

Caprock led 19-13 at halftime and built a 26-13 lead by the end of third when Ruiz found Tobias Milton for his second touchdown reception.
