The Clarendon Broncos trampled the Claude Mustangs in the teams' first football game of the season Friday at Bronco Stadium.

Clarendon used seven different rushers to gain 410 yards on the ground and four touchdowns. Quarterback Johnny Gaines accounted for 35 of the Broncos 77 points including a 56-yard interception return in the first quarter. The junior finished the game going 6-8 for 96 yards and three touchdown passes as well as 47 yards on the ground.
